In addition to purchasing insurance, you may protect your investment by purchasing anti-theft devices. Many insurance companies offer a discount if you help protect your vehicle with some, or all, of the following anti-theft devices: ignition kill switch, fuel kill switch, visible steering wheel lock, floorboard locks, gearshift locks, tire/wheel locks, hood locks, armored collar around the steering column, alarms (some contain automatic engine disable features), or vehicle tracking (may not be available in all areas). Check with your insurance company to find out if you may be eligible for an anti-theft device discount.
