Find Out How Much Money You Can Save on Insurance!

Chrysler 300 Insurance

It was in 1979 that the first Chrysler 300 rolled off the production line. It began as an entry level luxury vehicle, but wasn't incredibly popular – only achieving total production of 3,811 vehicles. Within one year, the model was discontinued but resurrected in 1999 – and once again in 2005. Since then, the Chrysler 300 has reinvented itself, with a fresh and bold new design, evident throughout its lineup. Style, performance comfort and reliability – the new Chrysler has it all.

  • Chrysler 300: A wildly successful sedan that has earned Chrysler the Motor Trend Best Car of the Year award for 2005. The 300 is a model that is reminiscent of the first 300, Chrysler's premium sedan of the 1950's. Bold styling and a luxuriously appointed, spacious interior that borrows from Chrysler's sister company – Mercedes-Benz – leaves little for wanting. The 300 is not lacking in performance either: With a standard V6 or optional 340hp Hemi V8 on the 300C, the 300 is pleasing to all the senses.
  • Chrysler 300 C SRT-8: This is one of the best weapons in the American car industry's arsenal in the perennial horsepower war waged against the German u über-sedans. The 300C SRT-8 is brawny, beefy and just plain mean. The SRT-8 takes the intrepid styling cues of the standard 300 to a whole new level, but the most noteworthy feature of the SRT-8 is its 6.1L V8 – with a staggering 425hp, it launches the big sedan to 60 mph in a jaw-dropping five seconds.

The latest Chrysler 300 features an updated, "chrome" look and feel, as well as the choice of three different models, including the base LX model, the mid-range Touring edition, and the high-end Limited model. The 2009 models are powered by one of two V6 engines, with the option of four- or five-speed transmission.

Chrysler 300 insurance costs

At around $119 per month, based on estimates provided through Automobile Magazine, the cost of insuring a Chrysler 300 is average. It's possible that later models of the Chrysler 300, if their safety features are improved, could carry a lower premium on insurance. Additionally a great way for you to lower your insurance costs is to raise your deductible or select limited or less comprehensive coverage. To get started in this process, all you have to do is request a free quote for Chrysler 300 insurance today!

Chrysler 300 safety features

TheCarConnection.com has some critical feedback for the Chrysler 300 in regards to safety features, saying: "The fact that some critical safety features are optional instead of standard hurts the 2009 Chrysler 300 in both crash tests and overall safety scores." For this reason, they rated it 5 out of 10 in the safety department. Still, the National Highway Traffic Safety Association deems the Chrysler 300 to have five-star safety standards for frontal impact, as well as four-  and five-star safety ratings for side impact.

However, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the Chrysler 300 a "Poor" rating for side impact, further damaging the vehicle's ability to garner modest insurance premiums.  Edmunds also says that the Chrysler 300 has "Poor visibility for shorter drivers."
