Dodge Ram safety features

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety doesn't have much in the way of good news for Dodge Ram safety tests. According to the IIHS study, the Dodge Ram deserves a rating of "Marginal" for its poor performance in side crashes.

Chrysler spokesman Nick Cappa, seemingly surprised by the test results, reiterated that the ram was equipped with standard front and side-curtain airbags (not to mention anti-rollover electronic stability control). Cappa also said the Chrysler continually reviews third-party test programs "as part of our effort to continuously improve the overall performance of our vehicles." Of course, poor test results mean that individuals can expect to pay more for their insurance, especially when bodily injury coverage is included in the policy.
