Find Out How Much Money You Can Save on Insurance!

Ford Escape Insurance

It may seem like the Ford Escape has played a prominent role in American culture; that's because it has. The Ford Escape has touched on becoming the best-selling compact SUV a number of times since it first debuted almost a decade ago. Part of the reason for the Escape's popularity is its superior ratings by major agencies – including the "Most Wanted Compact SUV" in 2003 by Edmunds, and the 2002 "Small SUV" Editor's Most Wanted pick. As a result of its popularity, major insurers are adept at offering fast quotes on Ford Escape insurance, and they usually compete heavily by offering you affordable rates on Ford Escape auto insurance.

Ford Escape safety

The Escape has a very good safety record. It received high marks in government frontal-impact crash tests. In fact, the Escape earned a perfect five stars in front- and side-crash tests. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety testing revealed that the Escape scored the highest rating of "Good" in the frontal-offset and side tests.

All models of the Escape come standard with anti-lock brakes, and the V6 models have four-wheel disc brakes. Added in 2005 was the Safety Canopy system option, which provides additional curtain airbag protection in the event of a side-impact collision or rollover. In 2010, Ford announced five advanced safety features, including Integrated Spotter Mirrors, MyKey™, Rear View Camera System, and Active Park Assist; all of these features come with any standard model of the Escape or Escape Hybrid.

Ford Escape features

All models of the Ford Escape have been freshened for the 2005 model – both the exterior and interior have been made a little sleeker and the engines have gotten a boost.
