Ford Taurus Insurance
As the fourth largest nameplate sold in the North American Ford lineup, the Ford Taurus was a mainstay of the Ford business. In fact Ford's Matt Van Dyke says that 87% of consumers have heard of a car called the "Ford Taurus."
The Taurus enjoyed strong sales in the mid-90s, becoming the best selling car in the U.S. from 1992 to 1996 (eventually being outgunned by the Toyota Camry in 1997). Though the Taurus declined in popularity since its hey-day, Ford decided to launch two revived versions under the same namesake in 2008, dubbing them the "2008 Taurus" and the "2008 Taurus X."
In 2010, Ford made an even riskier bet by moving the Taurus into "luxury" status. An August, 2009 Wall Street Journal article said about the new model: "Ford is repackaging the Taurus… as a technology-laden, European-style sports sedan with features normally found on luxury brands and a price tag that can push above $37,000." The WSJ article went on to proclaim: "It's a risky, costly venture."
Of course, with a 'luxury' price tag, you can expect luxury-level insurance costs. The good news is, but if you own an older Taurus, your insurance costs will be reasonable. In fact, at only $105 per month in insurance costs, according to Automobile Magazine, the Ford Taurus is safely in the category of affordable insurance.

A new optional Safety/Security package bundles side airbags, antilock brakes and traction control into one group.
