The basic idea that farmers should pay less for insurance because they drove less and had fewer losses was the founding idea of State Farm.

Today State Farm is the largest car insurer in the country with 1 out of every 6 cars in the U.S being under State Farm insurance. In 2005, the company's net worth was a record-breaking $50.2 billion, up over $3 billion from 2004.
